Stigma must not hold us back.
As a society, we tend to ignore the issues related to mental and emotional health.
The social stigma prevents us from reaching out for help. Issues like depression, anxiety are systemic, like any other disease affecting the rest of the body. We can address systemic illnesses by addressing the social constructs and policies preventing us from healing as a society.
I would describe myself as a uniquely layered individual. A self-professed book worm, I have always had a thirst for knowledge.
Of all the options I had for my own career path, I was convinced that becoming a Social Worker would be the best option for the goals I had set for myself. It was!
My reward is seeing clients push themselves towards becoming a greater version of themselves and/or changing the culture within their organizations.
