Chapter 23
Chapter 23 is a Turning Corners passion project and message for the masses!
This 30 minute documentary highlights the mental health of Black women across the lifespan.
It is a life history narrative and intersectional examination that asks how Black women's lived experiences in their 20's shape their everyday life, including examining how mental health and (generational) trauma impact their everyday decisions, relationships, self-care efforts, and healing.
Women of color struggle every day with biases that perpetuate oppressive standards for how they’re supposed to look and how they’re supposed to act. Too often, they’re either left under the hard light of scrutiny, or cloaked in a kind of invisibility.
